This book was very choppy for me to read. I could only imagine how difficult it might be for a child to read. It was difficult to determine where to read next when the text was separated into four boxes. I did enjoy how the text was very impactful and helpful for the reader. A line I really did enjoy to read was, "We must be very quiet" which was in 6pt font. That size emphasized the action in the book. I also liked the bolding of the letters where specific words were emphasized. The story is a bit confusing because it it such an odd story to read about. This book is extremely original--nothing like it.!
Guns, Germs and Steel was a great read, but this was just dull. All you needed to know was captured in the introduction - the subsequent chapters were simply dull rehashes of the same tired ideas.
Another one of my top picks. This is a pretty quick read and definitely one I'll read over and over again. The characters are clearly defined and very memorable.
