I'm reading Fire Along the Sky, which is a sequal to Into the Wilderness, one of my favorite books. I found Dawn on a Distant Shore a few years after I read Into the Wilderness by accident and was very excited and loved the book. I just reread both of the 1st two books and saw in the back that Fire Along the Sky was "coming soon" in 2004 (which, when I got the book, seemed like eons away), so I ran out to Borders to get it, but (1) it wasn't in stock and (2) it's not out in paperback till November, so I went to get it from the library. Anyway, I started reading it and was like, "Hey! Why're these people all old! They skipped the best part of their lives," and I'm about halfway through the book when I took a look at the back of Fire Along the Sky and saw that, lo and behold, there's a 3rd book, Lake in the Clouds, that I totally never heard/knew about (Fire Along the Sky is apparently the 4th in the series), so I quickly ordered it from Amazon...but Fire Along the Sky is going to be due back at the library soon, and I don't know that I can renew it, so my dilemma is to finish Fire Along the Sky and read Lake in the Clouds afterwards, or read them simultaneously...well, right now I'm reading Fire Along the Sky till I get Lake in the Clouds and that's that. Phew!
