This woman is a writer for NPR's This American Life. She's smart, irreverent and hilarious. I loved this book. She goes on a bizarre trip to visit the haunts of the three presidents, one famous (Lincoln), two not (Garfield and McKinley). Its a wonderful, weird trip. She goes the site in Buffalo where McKinley was shot and the National Museum of Health and Medicine, where fragments of Lincoln's skull are on display. You feel like you are trapped in an episode of South Park, or perhaps your Third grade classroom--when they made you learn all the state capitols.
