Highlanders! <--excitement. I go through phases where I glut myself on books involving specific character types (ask me about my minor obsession with pirates. No, really. Ask. I'll tell you about the horrors of scurvy and how I find men who rarely bathe attractive. Which is just wrong, mind you, because I like my boys to smell nice.) and my current fascination seems to be with Highlanders. I thought I would dig the time travel aspects more (because time travel is cool) but it's turned out that it's the Highlanders that are doing it for me. Who knew?!?! Enough babbling about Highlanders and their kilts. So. In the grand scheme of things, I liked Book 2 better. Grimm and Jillian were so fabulous together. Oh, who am I kidding, I'm all smitten with Grimm and his tortured past. That said, I really enjoyed Circenn and Lisa's story, it just didn't hit me quite as hard as the previous book. I loved how Circenn's rules all flew out the window as soon as he met Lisa. I liked many of the twists. I loved Adam and his wily ways. I wasn't thrilled with the happily tied up ending, but I thought it worked well enough. Does that even make sense? It was okay. It worked for the story. I would have loved a little less perfection, but I'm content with what I got. Another fun and solid entry in the series. I was glancing at the synopses for the rest of the books in the series and I have to admit to being very excited about who our main characters are. *thumbs up* -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal
