Hm... So, the plot is pretty cool. Well, one of the plots is pretty interesting I should say. The thing is is that there are way too many. I mean, let's see: We have the murder-mystery, the Wenn. (I'm abbreviating because I really don't feel like going into my room to find out how it's actually spelled) scandal, the Blomkvist scandal, the Vanger family in general, and then Salander's story. And those are just off the top of my head; there are plenty more, be assured. Other than being overwhelmed by so much STORY, I still managed to enjoy the murder-mystery (which I fancy quite a bit of) and Salander's life. Personally, I just didn't care in the least about Millenium nor did I find Wenn. all that fascinating. Salander is an undeniable bad-ass to be sure, but I'll get to her in a minute. I have an issue with reading translated books. Call me crazy, but every single book that I've read that is a translation, I absolutely, 100%, fully intend upon reading it in its original language. I can't help but shake the feeling that I'm always missing something. I dunno. Anyway, the writing - translation or not - didn't bother me. As a matter of fact, I thought it had a rather nice flow. And back to characters: Salander. She's awesome, no doubt. I just really wish she could've been in the story more than she was. Given the title you'd think she would be the protagonist but she really isn't. That's debatably Blomkvist. Whom I have mixed feelings towards. I guess he wasn't bad, wasn't good either mind you. Whatever. And then there's (view spoiler) So all in all, it was a really cool story with great characters; and some seriously sick antagonists. And I do loves me some sick antagonists.
